Deputy Executive Director, Operations

Manages customer ops and readiness through oversight of the JLOC, ensuring development of Agency capability, integration with and readiness to support the Joint Staff, the CCMDs, the Military Services and designated Federal Agencies during contingencies. The business operations overseen directly affect supply support to approximately 150,000 world-wide customers, including all the Military Services and Federal agencies. Oversees the Agency's customer interface network of National Account Managers, Customer Account Managers, Customer Service Reps, Liaison Officers to the CCMDs and the JCS J4, and logistics planners; oversees the Agency's Security Assistance and Foreign Military Sales program, and integrates the Agency's Combat Support Agency Review Team interface, review, and subsequent status reporting to the Joint Staff.
Executive Director, Nuclear Enterprise Support Office
Serves the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), a Joint Combat Support Agency reporting directly to the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), as Executive Director, Nuclear Enterprise Support Office (NESO), DLA Logistics Operations Directorate (J3). The NESO functions as DLA's lead organization to the Department of Defense (DOD) and Department of Energy (DOE) Nuclear Enterprise (NE) by synchronizing all DLA policy, planning, resourcing and procedures supporting United States Navy, United States Air Force, Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Office of Secretary of Defense organizations with strategic national, strategic theater, and operational responsibilities supporting the DOD NE. Responsible for integrating and collaborating sustainment and support efforts with external customers, identifying and resolving gaps and shortfalls in NE support, overseeing handling of Nuclear Weapons Related Material, and monitoring the health, capability, and performance of DLA systems supporting the NE. Conducts strategic engagement and collaboration with internal DLA stakeholders at headquarters and field level. Collaborates, and conducts strategic stakeholder engagements with Office of the Secretary of Defense entities, the Joint Staff, Geographic Combatant Commanders, Functional Combatant Commanders, Service Component Commands, Title 10 Service force providers, and other organizations within the DOD NE, to include providing DLA planning support for plans developed in support of the National Military Strategy and the National Security Strategy. Works with senior officials of the Military Services' Headquarters and their operations and sustainment commands to collaborate on and resolve nuclear enterprise sustainment shortfalls.
Chief, Joint Logistics Initiatives
Sserves as DLA’s lead for Executive Agent (EA) responsibilities for Class I, Class II, Class III Bulk Petroleum, Class IV, and Class VIIIA. Serves as special advisor to DLA senior leadership on EA supply chain matters. Leads development and implementation of OSD/DLA EA concepts of operations, initiatives, and strategic policies while advocating EA initiatives and projects for the Primary Level Field Activities (PLFAs). Plans and coordinates the execution of CLASS policy/governance boards for DoD including but not limited to the Joint Subsistence Policy Board, the Joint Clothing and Textile Governance Board, and the Defense Medical Logistics Supply Chain Council. Conducts readiness assessments of end-to-end supply chain operations and reports on supply chain readiness and performance. Formulates policies, procedures, and internal controls for strategic decisions impacting DLA. Leads DLA engagement, development, planning and implementation of the DoD and other strategic logistics initiatives or projects which inform and influence decisions on strategy, policy and doctrine and execution of logistics operations derived from emerging capabilities within the logistics community. Leads cross-functional integrated process teams for formulating, planning, and execution of strategic initiatives through extensive coordination with representatives from OSD, Joint Staff, Services, and external organizations as well as internally throughout the DLA Enterprise. Ensures DLA Director and senior executives are apprised of all urgent actions related to joint logistics initiatives. Plans, conducts, and participates in joint exercises, experimentation, and gap analyses to improve and synchronize supply chain strategies, operations, and capabilities. Collaborates and establishes strategic alliances with appropriate DoD Components, Federal Departments/Agencies, Commodity Joint Integrated Process Teams/Boards and whole of community partners.
