I lead a team of talented professionals developing innovative multi-benefit grid-scale Renewable+Storage projects, such as integrating water tanks as dual use firefighting and energy storage resources. Position includes performing or supervising work on areas as diverse as product development and IP research/filings, developing equipment and service provider relationships, local government sales, power market analysis, local, state and federal regulatory compliance, site selection and preliminary engineering design, land acquisition, financial engineering/proforma development, interaction with potential developers, financiers, and other counterparties, and both offensive and defensive regulatory/legislative advocacy where appropriate.

I work in the leadership group of a talented team of energy professionals focused upon delivering portfolios of Controllable Distributed Energy Resources at customer sites. These fast responding electric grid assets can displace new power plants and transmission lines without imposing a sacrifice on our site hosts, and do so at a lower cost. My responsibilities include cross-functional technology evaluation and onboarding into our SmartGrid repertoire, providing SmartGrid/Utility subject matter expertise to various enterprise functions, site application engineering, proposal preparation team leadership, and sales/sales management with parties ranging from individual host sites to Fortune 500 Investor Owned Utilities.

As the Utility Vertical Markets Leader I have two primary responsibilities: • To plan approaches, devote resources, and coordinate Trane Utility Solutions Group staff activities executing the CUBE and CoolSchools energy efficiency incentive programs for Southern California Edison to deliver exceptional market participation in previously difficult to reach markets.• To originate new business models for the replacement of major energy consuming equipment that open these transactions to the new value streams available on the Utility side of the meter from the grid side impacts of these projects. By marshaling the tremendous capabilities of Trane/Ingersoll-Rand in areas from controls to energy trading to finance, we will be able to help all of our partners, from Contractors to building owners, to utilities get projects to move forward that could not have done so without access to these novel resources.
