Since joining the IBEW I've had many great experiences in the electrical industry. The most memorable would be the years of working for St. Francis Electric. I started as a Journeyman and worked to a Foreman position over the 7 years I was with them. The work we did was heavy underground and we built many substations for the Port of Oakland's buildings, cranes, shore power for the ships, and refrigeration outlets. I think what makes them so great to work for is the team of union laborers, operators and electrical workers that worked for them.These guys gave me a great idea of what working as a team can accomplish.My goals have shifted from the joyous days of just installing the materials through many leadership seminars taken through Landmark Worldwide, to building trust and empower great teams.Update: been around the world and have been back with SFE for 3 more years. Its unbelievable what working on the Altamont Windmills the Jet co-gen plant the Tesla model 3 to jumping in as a Lead Foreman at the PG&E Training Center remodel and site underground to then becoming a project manager. I made a return to SFE for their largest ever project, through honesty and leadership I rose to the level of the guy to be counted on. Many wins and a few fails. I now am ready for whatever my intentions are set too.
