Michael is employed at Brock Solutions as a full-time Software Developer and Computer Systems Analyst assigned to Brock’s Manufacturing business unit that specializes in designing, developing, and implementing controls automation, software/MES (Manufacturing Execution System), and IT infrastructure solutions for large-scale manufacturing and industrial processing companies across industries such as steel/metals, consumer products, food & beverage, life sciences/pharmaceutical, petrochemical/oil & gas, aerospace, among others.

- Optimized the development of Data Entry applications by creating user controls and shared class libraries to accomplish common functionality such as authentication, integration with our proprietary email system, disposition tree management, and API integration with our phone system.- Redeveloped our proprietary email system into a full standalone server/processor/client/database system. Using C# for the server, processor, and client, I developed a system that uses rule sets to determine how to categorize, prioritize, and assign email to the next available agent for completion. These rule sets are completely customizable by administrators, and a plugin-based architecture allows the developers to add functionality with ease. - Further optimized the development of our most commonly requested type of Data Entry application, the customer contact reason tracker. Using C#, WPF, and T4 text scripts, I was able to reduce the average development cost of 2-4 weeks into less than an hour from beginning of development to UAT. This solution is complete with API integration with our phone system (automated field population, transfers, etc.), administrator management of dynamic fields, and the ability to revert to local hard drive storage in the event of a network or database outage, automatically submitting the offline data when the network is restored.
