I am a fit 45 year old with two degrees, the first in Economics and the second in Accounting from the Flinders University of South Australia. I graduated from the Australian Institute of Fitness in August 2014 with a cert 3 and cert 4 in PT.At AnglicareSA, I have been preparing budgets, tenders for funding, business proposals, EoY financial reporting and management reporting.At DEWNR I have:Prepared discussion papers on how the department spends its money, developed a corporate overhead model, and service level agreements. Benchmarked corporate services against best practice and prepared persuasive Cabinet submissions that increased the fees and charges and obtained funding for the Eco-Links project, andProvided economic advice on the Marine Parks reform and performed tender evaluation for commercial cage diving with Great White Sharks. I am on the Design Team that is recommending efficiency improvements for the Department.At DTF my roles included:Providing advice to the Treasurer and Cabinet on major budget initiatives and infrastructure projects, such as the electrification of the railways.Managing and recommending the level of wage and salary provisions to be held in the State Budget – the provision was over one billion dollars in some years. I costed enterprise bargaining proposals and prepared advice for Cabinet and the Treasurer on specific salary offers, andCommonwealth / State financial relations and major government assets sales.In my work I have met and liaised with senior executives across the South Australian public sector. I have prepared and present technical advice and supervised staff. I have demonstrated a sound ability to effectively prioritise high workload demands, meet strict deadlines and work well under broad direction. I believe that these skills and experiences will enable me to successfully undertake a wide variety of analytical roles.
