Well, I didn't major in English so this whole summary may just end up being a mess. I'm really resisting the urge to just write it all out using bullet statements! I hope you've had your coffee...Where to begin... right! I recently graduated with a Bachelors in Computer Science from Western New England University. Upon graduating, an opportunity became available to work as a field tech for the Geek Squad in which I gladly took. While working for Geek Squad I got to apply my knowledge of computers and networking while learning everything there is to know about televisions, surround sound systems and home security systems like Ring/Nest. I dove into appliance repair with no real knowledge on how to do so. There were numerous times I would be hunched behind a stove or dryer watching a YouTube video on how to properly diagnose or repair a problem. While I have greatly enjoyed helping people as a member of the Geek Squad, but with Covid-19 the appeal of going into other peoples homes became less desirable, and my craving for a career that uses what I learned in school grew. Since graduating I have made efforts to improve my coding skills and even learn new things like JavaScript, Bootstrap, NodeJS, React.js and MongoDB. I have always enjoyed learning new things! Yes, I'm "that" person who finds documentaries fun to watch. I thrive in environments where I'm shown once, then I want to get my hands on it. My ultimate goal right now is to find a position that encourages my desire to learn, grow and adapt.
