Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals to determine material requirements and installation procedures.Provide customers with cost estimates for equipment installation.Advise architects, builders, and other construction personnel on fire prevention equipment and techniques, and on fire code and standard interpretation or compliance.Direct the purchase, modification, installation, maintenance, and operation of fire protection systems.Responsible for conducting service calls to perform onsite emergency troubleshooting and repairs of the fire protection and suppression equipment, preparing accurate service tickets to ensure all repairs function per local codes and with the authority having jurisdiction. Able to diagnose fire suppression system problems and repair or replace equipment as needed to bring back to working order.Experience in the Fire Alarm & Special Hazard Fire Protection fields. Such as Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evac Systems, FM200 Systems, Novec 1230 Systems, Halon Systems, Clean Agent Systems, CO2 Systems, Inergen Systems, Pre-action Detection with Controls, Flame Detection Systems, Air Sampling Systems, Wireless Fire Alarm Systems, and Foam/Water Systems.

Communicate with workers on the surface while underwater, using signal lines or telephones.Check and maintain diving equipment, such as helmets, masks, air tanks, harnesses, or gauges.Descend into water with the aid of diver helpers, using scuba gear or diving suits.Recover objects by placing rigging around sunken objects, hooking rigging to crane lines, and operating winches, derricks, or cranes to raise objects.Install, inspect, clean, or repair boatlifts.

Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads, in order to ensure safety of workers and materials.Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools.Tilt, dip, and turn suspended loads to maneuver over, under, and/or around obstacles, using multi-point suspension techniques.Select gear such as cables, pulleys, and winches, according to load weights and sizes, facilities, and work schedules.Set the forms that hold concrete to the desired pitch and depth, and align them.Spread, level, and smooth concrete, using rake, shovel, hand or power trowel, hand or power screed, and float.Produce rough concrete surface, using broom.Signal truck driver to position truck to facilitate pouring concrete, and move chute to direct concrete on forms.Operate power vibrator to compact concrete.Wet concrete surface, and rub with stone to smooth surface and obtain specified finish.Polish surface, using polishing or surfacing machine.
