It’s May 22, 2016 at 2045 hours. Previous attempts at writing LinkedIn summary have proven difficult and not portrayed the depths of my characteristics. I must break for home base and complete this summary so that I can rest at ease knowing that all who venture upon my profile will see the truest reflection that words can offer of a man. Now, a bit about myself. Since childhood, I have always had a passion for writing and words, especially poetry. I published my first poem when I was nine years old in Highlight’s magazine. I also have a musical aspect. I taught myself to play guitar and when I was 14, after being inspired by the movie “La Bamba”, and now it’s hard to go a day without playing my guitar and I am currently working on my first album, stay tuned! I balance this softer side with rigorous athletic activities, including weightlifting, yoga, biking, hiking, and rock balancing. I have now completed my communications degree at Capilano University. Here I learned to balance my creative side with professional formalities. I enrolled in the program with the idea of getting into advertising, but after a time there, my imagination for possibilities expanded. I also absorbed a love for critical thinking from a certain instructor, whose razor-sharp words and intellectuality pierced my mind and sparked an exponential rise in functional thought processing. Previously, I worked as a manager at Popeye’s Supplements in North Vancouver and volunteered as a youth mentor with Big Brothers. I have had the privilege of being part of MEC's marketing team as an intern during my studies. I believe the nature and nurture of my life has made me a dynamic individual whose skill set continues to grow. I take pleasure in emulating positive traits that I observe in others and strive to improve myself to the fullest extent. I know that hard work leads to success, have tasted this formula, and look forward to the future.
