Michael is an experienced international Programme and Senior Project Manager who is a “hands on” energetic and dynamic leader with excellent interpersonal, organisational & communications skills, with the ability to motivate & deliver. Michael just finished 4+ years rolling out Cloud/Azure based Office 365 “Digital Workplace” (DWP) for Welsh Water, Xoserve (National Grid), Uniper (E.ON) and Vodafone. This included Exchange online migrations as well as the Office 365 suite of programmes including Exchange migration, Yammer, OneDrive, SharePoint on line, Planner, Teams and standard Microsoft Office tools. Michael was also responsible for senior stake holder and supplier management with Microsoft and other third-party vendors both off-shore and on-shore. Projects also include Windows 10 and ProPlus rollouts to corporate devices (mobile and laptop) and BYOD. As PM Michael also had full financial responsibility for these projects.Before the DWP programmes Michael was Programme Manager for M-PESA the world’s number 1 award winning Mobile Banking and e-Payments provider. He been responsible for the setup and improvement to this service in countries across Africa and Europe. Key achievement was the transfer of the service from Germany to Kenya including 17 million customers and ~25 Billion USD and implementing KYC & AML, operational and security frameworks.Michael is a certified Prince 2 practitioner. Michael has worked as a Project/Programme Management consultant with some of Europe’s major Blue Chip Companies such as the Vodafone Global - Germany, OHIM (Office for Harmonization in the Internal Market - Spain), Prudential, HMRC, Rolls Royce/EDS, Banque Paribas, UBS, Reuters, BP Exploration, the Ministry of Defence, Sony (Professional & Broadcast Europe), Criminal Justice IT, e-University, O2 Ireland (Ireland), the Daily Mail Newspaper Group and Digital Equipment (UK & France).

This involved managing a team of Project Managers and coordinating 3rd Parties, customers and other vendors both on-shore and off shore. Also Programme budget responsibly. Successful project delivered during his tenure include:-• M-PESA service for Kenya was successful migrated from Germany (Ratingen) to Kenya (Nairobi).o This was a massive achievement involving 4 continents North America (USA, Western Union), Asia (Huawei, China and AMS/IBM, India), Europe (Vodafone Global, Germany and Vodafone Mobile Payments Solutions, UK) and of course Africa (Safaricom and 3rd Parties).o Two years of planning a preparation meant that cut over took 2 days but only 8 hours down time was required and there were virtually no issues!o And when you consider what was involve, see below, that was an enormous achievement:  17 million active customers 50%+ of Kenya GDP on the platform Window/SQL (Ratingen) needed conversion to Unix/Oracle (Nairobi) Final data replication between Ratingen to Kenya was 100% accurate 22 physical 3rd Party links needed re-directed AML (Anti Money Laundering) • New Market introduction Romania - complete• New Market introduction Mozambique - complete• New Market introduction Albania – complete• New Market introduction Ghana – in FUT (Friendly User Trial)• New Market introduction DRC /Democratic Republic of Congo) – in Implementation
