Direct the corrective actions identified in the audits and monitor the sustainability of these activities. The company had no penalties during my tenure.• Standardized all EHS programs across the company and posted them on the company’s intranet site for access by all associates. • Provided compliance assistance and management to 45 operating locations in 16 industrial sectors as a member of corporate Environmental Affairs and Safety. Operations included automotive parts manufacturing, secondary metals production, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, battery manufacturing, rubber manufacturing and mining and minerals processing. • Managed the corporate program to meet the Clean Air Act’s Title V permitting requirements for all manufacturing facilities. Developed facility operating scenarios and emission inventories and determined applicable federal regulations in order to establish filing status. The majority of the facilities could be permitted as a minor source. • Coordinated the development and implementation of ISO 14001 EHS management systems by tailoring a program that met EaglePicher’s needs. Modified the ISO 14001 program to include product safety, and property protection. • Conducted EHS compliance audits of a wide variety of manufacturing settings and provided guidance and assistance to facility staff in correcting findings. This program kept regulatory violations and penalties to a very low level.• Provided training to all levels of manufacturing personnel on general EHS regulatory requirements, as well as specific subjects such as Form R preparation and emission calculations, storm water pollution prevention plans, and process hazard analysis.• Prepared permit applications for all environmental media as well as regulatory reports such as air emissions, hazardous waste and the Toxic Release Inventory.
