After rolling out the clearing platform for European and North American markets I went to Tokyo for an 8 month assignment to roll out the same global platform for the Asian markets including TSE, OSE, SFE, HKFE.Involved training up local team members on ClearVision and our internal trade clearing applications, implementing one market go-live and getting the region to a state where they could implement further go-lives independently. Had responsibility for project delivery, vendor and exchange management, development, facing-off to local trade support and project groups while also gaining an understanding of the different operating context of Asian markets.

Starting as a graduate in the Listed Derivatives clearing team my role was to develop and support the internal trade processing and clearing applications and also the integration of external clearing system called ClearVision.This involved understanding the trade booking and clearing process end-to-end and the in-house built applications which supported both client and firm business real-time processing of hundreds of thousands of trades. Given the solution was interfacing with dozens of clearing houses extensive knowledge of the the various clearing house systems was also necessary.Role grew into taking technical ownership of the the clearing function, managing the vendor relationship and setting technical direction for the multiple internal systems involved.
