The Flagship Internship Program is a program that provides a select group of students attending the University of Maine an opportunity to enhance their summer internship experience. The program prepares graduates for meaningful careers and civic responsibilities through advanced training skills in professionalism, communication, conflict resolution, time management, problem-solving, and more. In addition, the program helps students gain an understanding of career opportunities in Maine and engages students with employers to address Maine’s workforce needs. The Flagship Internship includes many networking opportunities throughout the summer and concludes with a presentation on the work participants have done with their respected summer internship programs.
