This involves drafting and issuing press releases to to coincide with the opening of new Company Shop and Community Shop stores across the country. I also independently seek out opportunities to deliver exceptional media coverage across different regions, which often involves arranging and overseeing visits from regional and broadcast outlets to ensure the messaging remains on brand.I also assist with external communications to support the commercial team in building relationships with other businesses and stakeholders, such as supporting with event planning and delivery. My role also often involves support with internal communications to colleagues across the business, including being responsible for the creation of an internal podcast.

In my role as an Account Executive, I provide PR and social media support for clientele across a wide range of industries such as healthcare, manufacturing, finance, leisure and more. This involves regularly attending meetings with clients to identify PR opportunities, and plan the delivery of various campaigns and projects. Some of my proudest achievements have been assisting with a virtual press conference for the Sheffield Olympic Legacy Park announcing £200m of investment in health and wellbeing research facilities, as well as the press launch of one of largest stop-smoking programmes in the world attaining coverage on both Look North and ITV Calendar.Copywriting is a pivotal part of my role; whether that's an appointment press release, media briefing, award submission, social media post or a lengthy magazine feature. My work tends to go far and wide, as I've become familiar interacting with journalists to achieve coverage in regional, broadcast, trade and even national media.

In my role as Digital Communications Coordinator, I independently oversee several social media accounts for the Trust that span across multiple platforms and audiences. As part of this, I have covered several major events in the company calendar, including the launch of a vital piece of independent research at Westminster and an annual international football tournament.A key part of the role is in building a relationship with political stakeholders to further the aims of the charity through digital platforms. I achieved this attending national political party conferences, using Twitter as a way to engage with MPs to further our influence.I am also responsible for editing the Trust’s new website, and provided web training for other colleagues in each of the charity's three offices.

Assisted with all aspects of public relations on a part-time basis for a wide variety of clientele from a variety of different sectors. This included carrying out research tasks, producing press releases and putting together social media content for different platforms. I also attended the Redbrik Chesterfield Half Marathon sharing the biggest events of the day through imaginative visual content. Alongside my role I regularly contributed to two monthly magazines, unLTD Business and Redbrik Magazine. This would include carrying out independent research to produce lengthy features showcasing the best that the Sheffield City Region has to offer. Often I was responsible for contacting a variety of different business owners and entrepreneurs to interview them on their experiences to write engaging content.
