These services entail providing noteworthy and innovative solutions to meet their target reserve fund goal of $1,100,000 by 2023. Job duties entail maintaining $1,000,000 of reserve funds for a large-sized homeowner’s community. Recommend allocations of reserve funds to a conservative strategic investing plan to receive a higher rate of returns than what the federal rate has to offer, while adhering to board approved guidelines.

I completed two stints as an intern at Associa Chicagoland. I discovered how internal accounting departments efficiently and effectively operate together to create and complete maximum work flows to meet strict standards and deadlines. My duties entailed internal audits of financial statements prepared by Associa’s client service center in Dallas, forensic accounting, overseeing accounts receivable, and collections for HOA’s in the Chicagoland area. During my experience at Associa, I assisted the Senior Account Executive on a forensic discovery of a particular large-scale HOA that had a lack of internal bookkeeping and internal report standards going back several years. Together as a team, we restructured their financial records to create a true and transparent financial position.

I worked with Dr. Dana Suskind, PI on Project Aspire, prepared and executed networking events, and spoke with teenagers who were thinking about cochlear implants and/or their parents about my experience. I’ve also been on several panels with Illinois Hands and Voices/Chicago Hearing Society speaking about my experiences as a bi-modal mainstreamed student.
