Collaborate closely with school administrators and stakeholders to develop comprehensive safety strategies that address contemporary challenges in school security.

Coordinate, conduct, and assess emergency management exercises while developing, implementing, and maintaining the County's Emergency Operations Plan, Hazard Mitigation Plan, and Continuity of Operations Plan to ensure timely and effective responses. Manage grant-funded programs and provide public education, as well as coordinating volunteer initiatives. Cultivate strong working relationships among County departments and with local, county, state, and federal agencies involved in emergency management efforts. Promote partnerships and advocate for disaster preparedness at the corporate, family, and individual levels within schools, businesses, public and private organizations, and community groups.Supervise the operation of the county's 911 equipment, which includes the radio communication system, 911 telephone system, computer-aided dispatch (CAD), rural addressing, and public education about the 911 program in Dickinson County.Since 2022, managed the installation of a three-site simulcast radio system to integrate with the Iowa Statewide Interoperable Communications System (ISICS). Programmed over 500 radios to enhance Dickinson County's Public Safety, Secondary Roads, and School Districts with a modern, interoperable communications network.

Current websites include City of Lake Park (www.lakeparkia.com), Dickinson County Sheriff's Office (www.dickinsoncountysheriff.com), Dickinson County Emergency Management (www.dcem.us), Lake Park First Presbyterian Church (www.fpclakepark.org), and Petersen Firearms Instruction (www.petersenfirearmsinstruction.com).

Enforced the laws of the State of Iowa and the ordinances of the City of Lake Park, Iowa.

Developed websites for a variety of customers from real estate agencies to automotive dealerships to local government agencies. Assisted in layout of the weekly Jackson County Pilot newspaper.
