Responsible for managing day to day pallet operations across multiple sites throughout the network by having a clear daily understanding of inventory and network needs, by understanding, optimizing and driving pallet transportation initiatives, by providing oversight around pallet (inventory) reporting tools. In addition to looking for and providing support to insure operational efficiencies, looking for transportation opportunities around pallet (inventory) movements, understanding trends to determine and implement new operations where needed and to understand problems and provide/drive corrective measures.Provide strong financial oversight and accountability around the operations by setting up adequate controls and reporting around all areas of the pallet (inventory) management and understanding metrics around daily and weekly KPIs.Implemented multiple Pallet Operations throughout the US that assisted in the saving of over $5 million on the annual pallet budget that included both standard color sort of pooled assets, quality sort operations of all pallets and repair operations of GMA pallets. Implemented operational process that set up auto replenishment or movement of pallet inventory across the network. Set up loading practices to maximize trailer cube and reduce transportation cost. Set up pick up schedules with 3rd party carriers that allowed for maximization of trailer turn and lower trailer pools.

Responsible for overseeing the management of the plant operations of a 3rd Party Management Group. Consult with 3rd Party Management Group on all pertinent operational issues critical to running daily operations including: quality of product, receiving inspecting, repairing, and shipping of company assets. Ensure proper handling and storage of CHEP equipment. Ensure proper receiving and shipping of CHEP Equipment. Audit and ensure that operation’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met including repair allocation, On-Time Performance, etc. Develop and build sustainable quality process in the Service Center within the Operations Network. Act as single point contact for CHEP on operations and quality with full responsibility to oversee the Third Party Management activities as they relate to operations and quality. Ensure that compliance will all company SOPs is followed related to compliance with pallet operations and quality standards. Develop and drive process for analyzing, identifying key drivers and root causes, and drive improvements in the process. Conduct quality audits to ensure that proper controls are in place to maintain quality standards that meet or exceed customer expectations. Establish quality metrics for the operations that drive awareness, action, and continues improvement in quality. Establish relationships with Key customers to understand and meet quality expectations.

Manage company assets within a designated geographic area through physical visits to customer locations, physical audits, and data research. Educate existing customers on proper control procedures. Provide a personal relationship between the customer and CHEP in order to maintain proper asset utilization within the network. Work with customers to ensure that any physical and administrative controls are in place to insure the proper use of CHEP equipment. Work with Sales, Operations and Logistics to resolve any customer issues, or modify procedures to adapt to any company changes.

Responsible for the 24/7 operations of an 8 million dollar plus account that provided both temporary and contracted labor for the largest paper making facility in North America. Was directly responsible for managemet of 9 Area Managers/ Supervisors and a work force of over 500 made up of production workers, forklift operators, storeroom personnel, and lab technicians. Increased growth by more than 40% by providing good customer service and creating a positive working relationship between the two companies. Reduced associate turnover from 5.7% to 3.7%. Improved safety performance from a TIR rate of 9 to under 3 by the implementation of new safety and training procedures. Met with multiple operations/department heads on weekly bases to review the current staffing needs, staffing concerns, and forecast for future staffing needs. Responsible for the development and implementation of action plans and creation of recruiting and advertisement schedules. Conducted interviews and orientations of new hires, as well as investigated all work place violence, sexual harassment, or complaints from associates. Was company representative for all unemployment hearings/ labor disputes.

Responsible for the development of new and the expansion of existing Third-Party Logistics accounts via cold calls, current branch customers, and the company vendor list throughout the North Eastern United States for one of the largest construction and industrial supply companies. Met with company decision makers and educated them on the use of a 3PL provider for services that include: Freight Brokerage for, TL (Truck Load Freight Carriers), LTL (Less Then Truck Load Carriers), and Rail, Contract Warehousing, Order Management, Freight Bill Auditing, and Pick-Pack & Ship. Calculated pricing and negotiated contracts for Third Party Logistics accounts for different warehouse locations throughout the United States. Set up bin-fills for VMI accounts for Fastenal Branch locations.

Managed a retail location for one of the largest personal electronics companies in the United States. Directed a sales force of five to seven sales professionals to maintain profitable sales growth. Created and reviewed daily reports, nightly deposits, and weekly payroll. Comprised weekly work schedules and sales goals.
