“What is the point in doing something if you already know you can do it?” This is what my father told me on our first rock climbing trip together and they are words that I live by. I seek challenge, I am driven by my curiosity and I am not afraid of change. In my current role as a classroom teacher, I have driven the introduction of technology into the classroom to facilitate differentiation and student-directed inquiry-based learning. I take a genuine interest in the well-being of my colleagues and actively support them to adopt best practices to improve learning outcomes.Change Driver2018: Advocated for and lead school-wide rollout of Seesaw, an online platform which supports engagement with the school-community.2018: Successfully advocated and campaigned School Leadership to adopt a 1:1 device model for Grades 3-6.2019: Collated and visualised school wide reading assessment data and presented this to staff and leadership to focus instruction.2020: As the Digital Technology School Improvement Team Leader I directed the development of policies which enabled distribution and accountability for school devices being sent home during Remote Learning.
