Current- Responsible for all manufacturing, procurement, engineering, quality, six sigma and supply chain activities for multiple sites. Accomplishments include:
- At outset of JV, managed closure of three production facilities. Closed all plants on schedule, resulting in annual savings of over $12 million. Integrated remaining plants into a culture of Safety first and continuous.
- Led process to convert the Oregon, IL plant to 7 by 24 hour operation resulting in $500,000 savings and a 25% increase in capacity. Later automated all three production lines which resulted in an additional 20%.
- Championed Company wide Six Sigma initiative from start up. Effort resulted in annual savings of $2 million in the third year of the program and in excess of $20 million dollars since. Green Belt certified in 2006.
- Lead safety improvement effort at manufacturing sites. Reduced recordable incident rate from 5.0 to less than 2.0. Developed and implemented "HABITs", a behavioral based safety program, resulting in no lost-time.
- Within the first year of my leadership, achieved purchasing productivity improvements of $2.8 million ($1million over target); excess of $15 million since.
