Current“A new way of thinking” The Company establishes a new way of looking at disaster recovery which is created through the local Community and provides the architecture for self-managed recovery. The company offers systems and processes to enable locally driven, locally managed and locally staffed recovery program within any disaster region, small or large within Australia. The Company ethos is based on a social enterprise model born from our lived experience of disaster and a some very successful ”bottom-up” recoveries in other parts of Australia. Enterprise provides local income and provides donations to the Path to Prosperity Foundation. The Foundation recovery implementation “acts local” and utilises individual support from the Community to support impacted people to partner with them to walk the path to wellness and prosperity together. The architecture of the implementation explores individual and Community demand which includes individual employment opportunities and participation within their disaster zone. Partnership with State Government and other agencies is essential in the delivery of a prosperous Community future. Retaining the human assets of a Community is a fundamental principle of the Foundation. Providing opportunities to support local economic recovery is a pillar of the programme that builds a resilient, connected and stronger community after recovery. “If it was easy – everyone would do it !”
