Co-founded enfluent to empower businesses and utilities to smash their decarbonization goals. Mike led the design of EnMeter, which provides VPP administrators with the speed and scalability needed to optimize the delicate balance between supply and demand across many assets. EnMeter was developed to calculate revenue-grade energy reductions and carbon offsets from real projects using minimal data inputs. Mike led the overall design, functionality, and was instrumental in the development and coding of EnMeter. He currently focuses efforts on optimizations and enhancements that best meet the evolving needs of the decarbonization and offset marketplaces.

Directly responsible for guiding teams of engineers successfully through complex and involved engineering projects. Additionally, representing and leading engineering efforts on a statewide level as part of technical working groups and stakeholder groups. Supervise and manage teams of engineers working on impact evaluations for utility programs across the US, Hawaii, and Canada. This includes staff workloads, project planning, project budgeting, writing and presenting proposals, completing and reviewing engineering calculations, and technical report writing. Directly responsible for completing deliverables on time and on budget, ensuring client needs are met, and maintaining exceptional quality work products. Impact evaluation involves completing detailed engineering analysis on residential, commercial and industrial energy efficiency projects. These projects include upgrades to heating and air conditioning equipment, HVAC controls, lighting and lighting controls, appliances, computer systems, compressed air, manufacturing processes and equipment, and industrial processes and equipment. The analyses are based on data collected by installing monitoring equipment, leveraging energy management or building automation systems, secondary literature, and in person observations obtained by engineers completing the projects.

Fabricated, designed, and executed experiments on heat transfer characteristics of fluids as they flow through a regenerator. This included experiment planning, instrumentation of the test setup using LabVeiw, running experimental trials, and data analysis using MatLab.
