After a successful and rewarding career at Covestro (formerly Bayer MaterialScience), I have retired. I am interested in exploring part time opportunities to help companies develop and execute their business growth strategy. In particular, my interests are centered on achieving triple bottom line results for environmentally conscious organizations. These are causes I care deeply about. I am a results driven executive with global innovation management experience, including conception, planning and execution of high impact, Horizon 3 business development programs.- Innovation management in a multi-billion-dollar global materials organization - Global business team management - Strategy development and execution with 11 separate businesses at varied levels of maturity.- Contract negotiation and management particularly with technology related agreements. - Interdisciplinary team construction and change management. Presently, I work with the Mattress Recycling Council helping them to manage their research program. We work with innovation communities and collaborate globally to advance recycling technologies and develop new markets for products recovered from mattress recycling facilities. I'm also working with the National Energy Technology Laboratory to facilitate collaboration with industry leaders and accelerate bringing carbon management technologies to market. I am currently on the advisory board of Fluxus LLC whose core mission is to develop sustainable, aesthetic and affordable housing for low income communities across the globe.

On September 1, 2015 Bayer MaterialScience separated from Bayer AG and has officially adopted the new name Covestro. Through this transition, responsibilities were unchanged.I led a senior level interdisciplinary team which manages a portfolio of business development programs aimed at meeting the organization’s strategic growth initiatives in the NAFTA region. Oversaw open innovation and business development with universities, consultants, business partners, startup companies, government agencies and research labs in collaboration with all company business units. Managed IP strategy, open innovation services, knowledge management programs and external collaboration contracts.I also served as an executive board member on three consortia, each of which were aligned with our commitment to sustainable business development and innovation. The Water Economy Network, Energy Efficient Building Consortium and the Electrochemical Pathway organizations each seek to enable business growth using sustainable product and process technologies. Within the Future Business Group, I was responsible for managing business development and innovation management in the electronics and industrial market sectors. Main focus was in industrial sectors included security, defense, energy and chemical processing industries.
