I offer psychoanalytic psychotherapy and general child and adolescent psychiatric care to children, adolescents and families. I am especially interested in working with those experiencing complex trauma and personality difficulties. I am happy to collaborate with other psychiatrists and allied health professionals in managing complex presentations.

I work with the Director of Post-Graduate Training to teach, supervise and examine Psychiatry Registrars completing their RANZCP Fellowship in Psychodynamic Psychotherapy in the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program at Eastern Health.

Mental Health Program

I am responsible for the recruitment, retention, support and performance evaluation of approximately 60 EFT of Junior Medical Staff across our large Metropolitan Mental Health Program which spans the age range from 0-65+.I co-ordinate the formal teaching program, examination preparation and supervision of our Accredited Registrars and supervising Consultant Psychiatrists. I am a member of the Northern Region Training Committee, and act as an examiner and standard setter for the RANZCP Written Examinations. I am accredited to supervise the psychotherapy long case. I co-ordinate several Peer Review Groups for our Consultant Psychiatrists to facilitate registrar supervision and the meeting of CPD requirements.I am responsible for the strategic direction of the RANZCP Training Program at Eastern Health and liaise with our Medical Workforce Unit around staffing matters, after-hours models, budget management and leave planning.

I have extensive experience across Community Child and Adolescent Services and the Acute Adolescent Inpatient Unit, incorporating the assessment and management of mood, anxiety, neurodevelopmental, psychotic and personality disorders as well as complex trauma and young people living in out-of-home care.I am skilled in the teaching and supervision of medical, nursing and allied health staff at both under-graduate and post-graduate level. I also have experience in service development, planning and evaluation.

Collaborative Recovery Model Workforce Development Team

This team will lead the training, implementation and supervision of the Collaborative Recovery Model across our large metropolitan Public Mental Health Service in 2017-18.
