Michael A. Gazda, P.E. As the Engineering Director, Mike brings over 37 years of technical electric utilities experience to ECI in the areas of Protection and Control for transmission lines, substations, distribution and generation along with experience in planning, operations, and design. Mr. Gazda is a registered PE in Arizona. Before joining ECI, Mr. Gazda has served as Engineering Manager at EASi for approximately 2 years and prior to that was the interim acting executive director for the APA- where he directed the implementation of commission policy decisions and also as deputy director where he represented the state of Arizona in the review and approval of technical work plans for the Arizona Power Authority. Previously, at MEAG Power as principal engineer of protection and controls, Mike was responsible for the protective relay settings and controls for all MEAG Power owned substations and transmission lines, SCADA integration, transformer and breaker specifications, along with all associated standards and reliability compliance.
