Responsible for enforcing, administering, performing and documenting inspections related to Commercial Building, Mechanical, Life Safety, Accessibility, Energy, and Green building projects for compliance with the approved plans, permit requirements, engineering standards and all applicable County, State and Federal laws, codes, ordinances, regulations and guidelines.Work with engineers, other professionals and permit technicians to assure that individual permitting cases are processed cordially and expeditiously.Educating and defending technical and procedural requirements to clients, developers, engineers, architects, contractors, the public and other agencies through meetings and discussions conducted in the office or field.Suggest alternatives to conventionally acceptable construction or installation methods and materials that comply with codes.Issue orders and summons.

Oversee other inspectors and manage training in the field/office.Attend pre-development meetings and walkthrough properties to identify any potential compliance issues.Conduct multi-discipline commercial and residential inspections.Interact with local government officials, fire departments, contractors, and members of the public to explain code requirements and best practices.Review and catalog initial and annual fire alarm and sprinkler inspection reports.Perform live fire testing for various real world fire scenarios for R&D, insurance providers, and local/state Fire Marshals and Building Code Officials.Assist in conducting joint inspections with government agencies, insurance carriers, and law firms for fire investigations.

Manage customers needing quotes for material which require calling or emailing estimates and lead times and selling the product over the phone or in person to the customer for the entire United States.Work with local/state Fire Marshals and Building Code officials for education, training, and live demonstrations.In charge of setting up shipping/receiving from suppliers or to a customer’s jobsite.Test equipment once received for QA/QC.Fix any problems dealing with shipments from suppliers sending wrong or damaged material, and not delivering material on agreed upon dates.Meet with suppliers regarding new products, costs, delivery schedules, and reliability of their services.Create and design marketing materials.Train and install the fire suppression system.Review engineered drawings for code compliance and accuracy.
