Working closely with one other production leader I am responsible for managing the production element of a 7-day fresh produce operation responsible for delivering a complex product mix of over 40 unique lines.Responsibilities include; Direct line management of a team of 50 staff with full responsibility for the associated labour costs, identification of labour constraints and associated recruitment as well as appropriate reallocation of labour resource to meet demands.Liaising with raw material department to ensure adequate supply of raw product, most effective allocation of materials and that minimum waste levels are incurred.Close communication with dispatch department to ensure finished goods leave site on time and in a cost effective manner.Working with the technical department to ensure all finished goods meet the appropriate quality specifications and that all production processes are carried out in accordance with standard procedure.Ensuring strict adherence to health and safety is maintained in all production areas at all times.Implementation of lean manufacturing practices to reduce dead time and drive factory efficiency.Identification of opportunities to improve factory performance by means of procedural changes, layout alterations and machinery improvements.Daily reporting of factory performance and costings.

Responsible for preparing financial accounts and all associated tax returns for a portfolio of clients from sectors such as agriculture, retail, construction and education.
