We are hunters and anglers who believe our sporting heritage is too important to jeopardize. We work to keep the backcountry the way it is by protecting the areas that are critical to producing clean, cool water, healthier fish, trophy bucks and bigger bulls.Often, the best solutions come from the ground up. We work with local sportsmen and women to find not only common ground, but common-sense solutions to protecting the best of what’s left of the wild country in the West.

The Montana Council of Trout Unlimited works under the umbrella of Trout Unlimited National and represents the 13 chapters and 3,600 members throughout the state in their mission to conserve, protect and restore Montana’s native and wild trout populations and their watersheds. While at Montana Trout Unlimited, my duties included assisting our volunteer led chapters with capacity building, board outreach, donor outreach, fundraising, corporate sponsor relations, grant writing, coordination of Montana Trout Unlimited’s Chapter Mini Grant program, webmaster and social media management, IT management, production of Trout Line (quarterly newsletter), management of Montana Trout Unlimited’s action alert network and organized Montana’s Conservation and Fly Fishing Camp from 2007-2013. In 2013, I oversaw a complete redesign of the organization’s website at www.montanatu.org. I was also in charge of numerous fundraising events for Montana Trout Unlimited in addition to managing multi-phase restoration projects.

Coordinating Producer for Trout Unlimited Television, Fly Fishing the World, Fly Fishing America, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation’s Elk Country Journal, Ducks Unlimited Television, Gore-Tex Outdoors and others. Event Coordinator for Fly Fishing Masters. In addition to production logistics, I also worked on corporate relations with show sponsors as well as advertising sponsors that included Trout Unlimited, Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation, Ducks Unlimited, Gore-Tex, Ford Motor Company, Cortland, Hodgeman, Simms and Hyde Drift Boats.
