Main Duties:- Design, development, testing, installation and support of a database system developed for print management companies. This is currently being upgraded from text mode to full windows look & feel. Originally written in Clipper/xbase++, ongoing development to Microsoft .NET using VB.NET, ASP.NET and Microsoft SQL- Ongoing development and support of an on-line stock call off website written in ASP.NET/VB.NET which interfaces with the above print management system- Development and ongoing maintenance of a Visual FoxPro version 8.0 application. This is a member’s database for charities which integrates with Microsoft Office- Written ‘Resolve Scaffolding’, a shrink wrapped product, to calculate and produce quotes, invoices and other documentation- Database server software used:Microsoft SQL Server,Advantage Database Server, Firebird (Interbase) and MySQL. - In house network and PC support- Ongoing R&D investigation to evaluate future technology- Responsible for project management and day to day staff management
