I find extreme joy in tackling complex technical problems and ultimately understanding these problems well enough to clearly communicate the advanced idea to both technical and non-technical audiences. I seek to present complex ideas clearly and concisely; whether it is creatively teaching the operation of a radio receiver to non-Radio Frequency (RF) engineers by way of metaphors using America's favorite video game character- Mario, or creatively implementing an on-body, inward facing antenna used for human body temperature sensing where the antenna beam's coverage is improved for this difficult on-body scenario.I model my desire to understand more about the world around Einstein's words "If you can't explain something simply, you don't understand it well enough.”I am Dr. Michael Grady, and I design antennas and electronic circuits. ...I also introduce the framework of independent thinking to young engineers and scientists! --- TECHNICAL SPECIFICS ---My background lies in RF and microwave engineering. I have research experiences with microwave measurements, RF circuit design, antenna design, radiometric measurements for biomedical applications, electromagnetic simulation tools, antenna design, radiation pattern and efficiency measurements, MMIC circuit design, RFIC design, PCB design, circuit board troubleshooting with a near-field probe, RF system integration, instrumentation and control automation, and RF material characterization.
