During and after graduating from Queensland University of Technology, I have had wide and varied experience in different companies in different parts of the world principally in Surveying but since they year 2000 I began to develop an interest in 3D modeling and BIM as a way of solving the construction problems with relation to design of permanent and temporary works .The surveying experience ranged from Geodetic, Cadastral ,Seismic, Subdivision and Road works to the recent experience in Hong Kong and Macau which has been in the construction industry as a Surveyor involved in a number of MTR/KCR projects and more recently the Wynn Casino and the City of Dreams Projects in Macau ,the MTR Managed XRL822 Contract back in Hong Kong and the Wynn Palace Project in Macau. I am currently working on HY2013/01 Passenger Clearance Building and HY/2014/05 Remaining Ancillary Buildings associated with the HKBCF Projects. As far back as the year 2000 on Yau Tong Station (MTR) I was applying BIM techniques to construction problems. AutoCad and Civilcad were the principal tools in those early days and more recently Revit Architecture and other technologies are being utilized.
