Key responsibilities:• To lead and oversee the delivery of key transformation and delivery priorities across the NWL Integrated Care System, including but not limited to:o SEND provision including therapy services, special school nursing, community paediatrics and community nursing o Leadership, scale and spread of models of integrated care such as the NWL Child Health Hub and Early Years Population Health Management programmeso Whole-system leadership of condition and need-specific workstreams o Oversight of NWL communications and engagement worko Data-driven analysis of paediatric ED, and development of models of prevention o Leadership and development of the NWL Children and Young People delivery manager network, ensuring alignment between ICB and ICP strategic prioritiesKey achievements:• Through detailed economic analysis, developed an innovative funding solution for service integration which will deliver an anticipated £25m system utility across a 10 year period, and have advised regional and national teams to ensure that this can be built into future models of care.• Led the development of a NWL professional community of practice for integrated children’s health and wellbeing services, sponsoring continuous improvement of service provision and supporting scale and spread of models of care.• Increased investment into SEND, ensuring that NWL ICB can meet statutory responsibilities.• Improved models of care for paediatric asthma, leading to improved outcomes and a reduction in child deaths.• Leadership of a three-year programme of health inequality transformation work, forming a core component of the NWL ICB approach to coproduction for children and families.• Led the creation of the NWL Child Sexual Abuse network, with engagement across health services and eight NWL Local Authorities. This work is helping to shape the strategic direction for service provision across NWL, and is leading to aligned service development and improvements in care.

Key responsibilities:To lead on commissioning activity for a range of services within the children and familiesportfolios across Medway Council and NHS Kent & Medway CCG.Programme area included: - Maternity services and linked clinical pathways such as tongue tie provision,- Acute and community paediatric health services including long term conditions, diabetes, ED, outpatients, community nursing, and children's therapy services- Early Help- Looked After Children (LAC)- Assisted Reproductive Technologies (IVF)- Domestic Abuse- SEND- Continence and end of life- Contract management- Voluntary sector services and relationship management This role was situated within Medway Council and required close regular interface with programme leads for specialist children's services (e.g. CAMHS, continuing care), and with Children’s Social Care to ensure alignment of commissioning and policy decisions.The role also provided the opportunity to work closely with a number of 'in house' services such as housing, social care and SEN to ensure that areas of priority are identified and service pathways integrated.Regular development and presentation of papers at CCG and Council governance meetings, and ongoing discussion and dialogue with senior leads and Elected Members throughout the course of my work.Key achievements:• Through a process of competitive dialogue, successful recommissioning of 17 service lines from four providers, into a single integrated children’s community health offer. This work improved patient experience and outcomes, whilst delivering £3m p.a. financial savings.• Working with senior leaders across Medway Council and K&M CCG, developed a system of close joint working between organisational functions.• System transformation to lead the development of new approaches to care, such as the implementation of ADHD shared care services, improved joint working processes for LAC, and an improvement in the quality of maternity services.
