Provide IP strategy and representation to the Reservoir Characterization Group within Schlumberger (i.e., the Geophysics Technical Center in Houston and Gatwick) and the Aachen Technical Center in Aachen, Germany. I also support the Houston Production Technology Center which generates production related software for Schlumberger. My main efforts focus on patent portfolio development; product and technology feature IP clearance; litigation support; M&A IP support; infringement investigations; contractual agreement drafting and negotiation to support business needs including, NDAs, joint development and collaboration agreements, consultancy agreements, and licensing; employee IP issues including waivers and non-compete issues; and open source software usage analysis and counseling.
