Roxtec is a company specialising in the development and manufacture of cable and pipe seals (sometimes known as multi cable transits). Roxtec’s products are designed to seal cable and pipe penetrations in order to protect from multiple hazards including fire, water, gas, dust, vibrations, electro-magnetic disturbances, vermin, and the risk of explosion. The company’s main operating sectors include power, marine, oil and gas, telecoms, infrastructure, industrial equipment, and the process industries.The role saw me assist in the implementation of an interfacing scanning system for the Roxtec warehousing operations. For this project, I collaborated with Software Vendors, Implementation Management, Testers and Trainers.During this project, I:* participated as IT Business Liaison and IFS Smartfrieght software system* defined requirements for new warehousing business system* assisted in business analytical activities between Roxtec and software vendor* User acceptance and defining requirements for new technologies being implemented* In region testing, managed list of software defects for vendor maintenance activities* End User training of the new system.I was able to achieve this project with the allotted time frame.

The Netherlands

I was seconded for the kick off operations of Roxtec's new European Hub located in Wijchin, Holland.I implemented and oversaw all day to day operations, trained new staff staff, served as an English translator and implement quality assurance activities..

In this role I was required to be verse in all aspects of the Roxtec operations in Karlskrona. In this period I was required to be familiar with many of the roles at the location. Precision invented the modern aerosol valve in 1949 and is today a leading global manufacturer and supplier of aerosol valves, actuators and other dispensing solutions for various end markets, including personal care, household, food, industrial, and pharmaceutical.This role, I was required to conduct day to day activities with Precision Valves warehousing operations such as:* Forklift operations* truck driving* taking and dispatching orders* stocking production lines.I achieved consistent and excellent results with my warehousing activities, which enabled me to be given additional responsibilities. These included:* Fire Warden* Occupation, Health and Safety Officer* Administration of exporting.

Sweden

This role was a short term contract whilst holidaying in Sweden.The Swedish Government were rolling out optic fibre across the country. I worked for a small barge aqua cable laying operation.My role was to drive the barge and understand all marine safety guidelines. Other activities included preparation of cables, securing weights to the cables and safety diver spotter.

I started this role at Australian Container Services at the entry level.I worked in a team to learn complex set of activities to conduct day to day warehousing operations, with the goal of profitability.In my time, I went from entry level (general forklift duties, warehousing, packing & unpacking containers, etc.) to being allowed to work autonomously and eventually training others in the warehouse efficiencies such as customer checks, warehouse resourcing, and forward scheduling of operational loading activities.My great achievement with ACFS was assisting them with an initiative to go fully digital and paperless.
