FINCA’s network of community-based banks offer responsible and affordable loan and saving products that empower low-income women and men to take control of their financial future. I oversee all internal and external communications for this 7,000-employee global mission-based financial provider. I develop and implement strategies for narrative creation and storytelling. I provide editorial oversight and manage strategy for special events. And I contribute to organizational growth and development.

Launched and expanded programs to expose political interference in governmental science and organize responses from the scientific community. Conceptualized, executed, and spoke at special events and scientific meetings in communities and on university campuses. Researched and wrote reports, scientific articles, and opinion pieces and pitched reporters. Worked closely with federal agencies and congressional staff to develop and advance policy initiatives. Developed and managed strategy for a cross-sectoral coalition to strengthen science-based policymaking.• Grew and steered a diverse 25-person team engaged in outreach, communications, and policy & legislative affairs. Developed budgets, tracked spending, and managed annual program planning.• Advised government officials and civil society on strengthening the role of science in government decision-making and protecting scientists from harassment. Oversaw training and deployment of network of 25,000 scientists to inform local, national, and international policy.• Directed efforts to track and raise awareness about political interference in government science. Spoke at conferences and events and published on topics relate to science policy.
