Michael Heaney is a Vice President at Avison Young, a global real estate firm that provides advisory, investment, and management services. He joined the firm in June 2021 and has over eight years of experience in the industry, specializing in tenant representation for corporate office users in the downtown Chicago area.He is an expert in deflating complicated lease language, dissecting and simplifying financial analyses, and creating long-term, flexible real estate and workplace solutions for clients. He has successfully represented companies of all sizes, from large corporate users to local not-for-profit organizations, delivering value and quality service. He also co-leads the firm's Association & Nonprofit Practice Group, leveraging his extensive knowledge and network in this sector. He holds an MBA in Real Estate Finance and Investment from DePaul University and a B.S. in Finance from the University of Central Florida. He is a licensed real estate broker in the state of Illinois and a certified Flex Fluency® practitioner. He is also a co-founder and mentor of the Associate Board of Ambassadors for the Great Books Foundation, a nonprofit organization that promotes critical thinking and lifelong learning.
