With the year 2023 now behind us, I move into the year 2024 celebrating milestones both personally and professionally. Last October, 2023 marked my 25th Silver anniversary relocating from Ontario to BC as a permanent resident in this beautiful province with the last 15 years living in downtown Vancouver. It will be 25 years ago as of March of 2024 that I began my first senior management position in BC working for 8 years through 2007 for the Resort Municipality of Whistler as their Recreation Programmer out of Whistler's multi-purpose recreational complex Meadow Parks Sports Centre prior to relocating to the lower mainland and eventually downtown Vancouver. These past 25 years have seen myself professionally take on a variety of leadership positions for various for profit, non-for-profit, public, private and/or government organizations. These roles proved to be valuable experiences that were pivotal in shaping a transferrable skills set utilized in a number of different sectors to include; guest relations, parks & recreation, events, fitness and most recently education.
