 Manage a team of 6 designers and engineering techs, assigning work, reviewing work, scheduling time off, doing performance reviews, suggesting merit awards.  Liaison between Delavan engineering group and 8 engineers in India. Including prioritizing work, project definition, and resource management.  Designed and manage 12 workflows including new product release, engineering change, and deviation workflows. Trainer for all departments on Smarteam software and workflow processes. Champion for pump division migration to Smarteam PDM software. Used advanced training and technical knowledge to help co-workers with transition to PDM/PLM software from none. Set standards for model building and drawings including GD&T. Keep software and computers to current standards as well as schedule training. Used 3-D LASER scanner to scan and reverse-engineer impellers, either direct competitors or designs form acquired companies, using Raindrop Geomagic software.

 Gained approximately 2000 hours using Solid Edge, 3-D solid modeling program. Gained proficiency in AutoCAD, with about 4000 total hours of experience here and at other positions.Design successes: Redesigned Automax sheet metal folding machine. I totally redesigned most portions of the machine and oversaw project from initial redesign to installation on initial machines.  Redesigned 10M14 sheet metal shear front material return, making it a pneumatic system from a mechanical system. Designed a pneumatic hand held punch for GM on a one week turn-around schedule. Helped troubleshoot Orion control system for sheet metal folding machines

 Using Bel-CAD designed drive systems for paper machines. Sized In-shafts for sectional electric drives.  Approximately 2000 hours using Pro-E release 20.Design Success Stories: Researched and did calculations on paper machine speed-ups for differential and Belt driven machines. Helped re-write in-shaft selection program. Built models for standardized rolls. Night-shift co-op supervisor and trainer, helped in the selection and training of co-op students. After training I coordinated students workloads and approved their drawings. Basic knowledge of calendars, reels and coaters
