Michael Hoff is an international business leader providing high quality, bespoke seed mix solutions to wholesalers and retailers across the agricultural and horticultural sectors.As managing director of Greenland Seeds, Michael has overseen the rapid growth of the business to become one of the leading seed companies in the UK, delivering a range of Defra-approved grass, wildflower, brassica, herb and cover crops to a diverse range of customers.Greenland Seeds now processes more than 2,000 tonnes of seeds a year, working with customers ranging from farmers merchants and garden centres through to country estates, sporting venues and retailers.The family business was established in 1997 and Michael first started working in the warehouse at 14 years of age. He became managing director four years ago and, since then, he has built a bespoke warehouse and packaging facility in East Yorkshire and has expanded the product range.He works with a variety of international and UK suppliers and has developed the in-house expertise needed to craft bespoke seed mixtures for customers, supplying white label and Greenland mixes for their customers.His expert knowledge has enabled customers to access key Government schemes, such as the Countryside Stewardship and Sustainable Farming Incentive programmes, helping to grow sales further.Today, Michael is looking to work with more businesses across the agricultural and horticultural sectors, delivering high quality, profitable seed mixes to wholesalers and retailers.
