My career in information technology management focuses on supporting operations with technology, working with hardware and software vendors to provide tools that improve our processes and client experience with data science. Whether we are automating a process to give the analysts more time to work with clients or upgrading a system for better performance, our goal is always to protect our clients’ information and make it accessible to our analysts. My management experience has been with smaller companies, so I have kept my hand in on the technical side. My super power is problem identification and solution, so I enjoy improving our processes to save us time and money. Recently, I saved 6 months of time and $100K+ in custom programming fees when we wanted to integrate feeds from 4 additional data carriers for our claims administration. By keeping the project in house, we finished in 6 weeks, enabling the company to quickly expand a new revenue stream for automated claims processing.Before my civilian IT career, I served in the military in computer and communications systems operation and programming and also served as a citizen soldier in utilities equipment repair.
