When I first started at Hartig, I worked as a cashier/floor associate. I also learn the process of receiving inventory. I also helped organize the stockroom and verify inventory counts. Additionally, I would rotate floor inventory based on sales, help make signage, assist with technical issues, and assist the customer.

I started by organizing and selling University of Iowa apparel. After more than two years, I moved to the electronics department and I sold computers, educationally licensed software, and electronic accessories. I also sold educational licenses to departments within the university. I sold licensed student software by contract after verifying their eligibility.

I began working as a sales associate for RadioShack and Captain Video, a combined store. My normal duties were to direct customers to products and generally explain products usage, or to suggest, rent out, and return movies. Additionally, I helped update and reorganize the inventory to provide better customer service.
