Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental (HSQE) Advisor reporting to a nationwide contractor that specialises in major retail store refurbishment, high street bank refurbishments, school extension contracts and medium sized new build construction projects. In the role of HSQE Advisor, I am responsible for providing guidance to employees on the effective application of both statutory and good practice health and safety, quality and environmental standards. On project delivery, I assist through the pre-construction stages with conducting HSQE risk identification visits and workshop reviews and advise the Contract Teams with the suitable construction phase risk mitigation strategies that are required. During the construction phase of contract delivery the role is integral with the Site Team providing assistance on site with training, monitoring through inspection and audit programmes, incident investigation and analysis, reviewing of method statement strategies and advising on HSQE considerations in response to programme or work sequence alterations and design changes. Corporately, I am engaged in assisting the Compliance Manager with implementation and maintaining of the Company's HSQE Policy arrangements and accreditations. This requires a constant focus on current legislation and any updates or changes to legislation that are proposed. Following on, the developing of effective policies and management strategies for the business that remain suitable to the business and carry suitable levels of statutory compliance and best practice application.
