Mr. Jones is a seasoned manager whose qualifications and experience are strong in both vertical and horizontal construction where he has proven to be a successful leader of over $2 Billion in commercial and institutional projects. Currently he is working with the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation on the $210M Dormitory Infill Design-Build project at RJ Donovan Correctional Facility. Recently, he was the lead at UCSD Health on the $140M Outpatient Pavilion, a facility with 8 Operating Rooms and all supporting Pre and Post-Surgery facilities. Previously Michael was involved with the construction of The Green Build Terminal Development Program at SDIA and participated in all three contracts of this massive effort. This project is a $1B Design-Build project that includes 10 new gates, elevated roadway, 1.5 million square foot apron, 470,000 SF terminal addition and the world’s largest USO center - all of which were successfully completed on time and within budget. Following the success of this project, he was an integral member in the negotiation and execution of the $223M CM At-Risk contract for the Rental Car Center parking structure at SDIA. Mr. Jones has been an essential team member on other large private projects in excess of $100M including the Colorado Rockies stadium – Coors Field, and Elitch Gardens amusement park in Denver Colorado. Michael has lead the project team and managed numerous large Public Works projects for clients in Southern California. Michael’s experience includes all phases of pre-design, design management, project management and construction management; while also providing support for estimating, scheduling, cost/budget management, quality control, LEED compliance, claims resolution to name a few. He has led teams as large as 34 staff members, and has proven himself as a reliable leader while fostering an environment that allows each team member to embrace their essential contribution to the project success.
