UAS Standardization Operator in Unmanned Aerial System (UAS) Platoon, responsible for all UAS flight and maintenance training. Responsible for performing flight operations within applicable regulations; ensures all training is conducted with emphasis on zero personal injury and zero equipment failure due to human error; manages the Commander's Aircrew Training Program (ATP); ensures all flight and training records are up to accurate and without error; responsible for the heath, welfare, and professional development of all UAS Operators.

I serve as an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) Instructor Operator during aerial reconnaissance in support of Joint Rotation Training Center (JRTC) - Supporting reconnaissance as well as Man Unmanned Teaming (MUM-T) engagements. As well as serving as an Instructor at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson Alaska. I have trained over 25 Operators throughout my career creating several aircraft commanders as well as Instructor Operators. Since being assigned duties as an instructor I’ve been involved in zero aircraft accidents.

As an Unmanned Aircraft commander I was responsible for the safe and effective operation of the aircraft and was the unit’s first-level trainer. I had to be be proficient in the aircraft and all aspects of the units METL and/or collective task(s). It was my responsibility to insure the safety of all occupants, and the conduct of all operational and training aspects of specific missions. As the Aircraft commander I oversaw all actions of the crew to include assigning duties to the crew.

Responsible for managing and updating the units CAFRS ( Centralized Aviation Flight Records System) for over 30 soldiers throughout my assignment. Duties included tracking significant training events, requirements, and evaluations within each ATP year.

Through out my career as an Aircraft operator I have been part of several missions to include garrison operations as well as combat operations. I have worked closely with boarder patrol for some time and completed several training rotations within the Army. I worked my self up to an Aircraft Commander, then to a Instructor Operator, and then eventually becoming Standardization Operator over three instructors in my unit. I have helped develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's), Certificates of Authorizations (COA's), and developed several training programs for units. During this time I was also able to mentor and lead others and develop my career to become a non-commissioned officer (NCO).
