Leader of the brownfields project delivery team for a mid-sized Australian Oil and Gas Exploration and Production company. Developed the portfolio of multi-disciplinary projects for the Vic/NZ production facilities, built the project delivery team and implemented the project management tools required to successfully execute the projects. * Built the project delivery team from four (2018) to ten project engineers (2023) resulting in: - Increased capital project spend from 49% of Financial Year 2018 budget to 91% of Financial Year 2023 budget. - Increased budget allocated to Vic team from $15 million (2018) to $49 million (2023). - Transfer of 10 – 15 projects per year from engineering team, freeing engineering to focus on core roles of optimisation, reliability and integrity management. - 40% of team employees promoted to team leadership roles within Beach Energy. * Instilled a strong safety and environmental focus within project delivery team. HSE performance during execution of team projects 2018 to 2024: - Zero Lost Time Injuries, - Zero environmental releases, - Zero process safety events. * Board and JV Partner approval of brownfield Capital Project Portfolio (Life of Asset plan, 5-year plan and annual budget) for each Victorian and New Zealand Asset. * Developed and implemented fit-for-purpose brownfield project documentation standards for the Victorian team, later adopted for all Beach assets as part of the implementation of Beach’s Project Management Framework for brownfield projects up to $10 million. * Implemented upgrade of Project Controls processes (cost control, scheduling and reporting) for Victorian brownfield projects resulting in standardised project reporting for all Beach projects to internal and external stakeholders.

Contracted to win engineering work for Esso Australia’s production facilities. Recruited the engineering team and implemented the design processes to deliver in accordance with Esso’s technical and business requirements. - Delivered Issued-For-Construction designs within six weeks of recruiting the multi-disciplinary engineering team. - Exceeded $6 million annual sales of engineering services within two years. - Awarded a Services Agreement with Esso Australia which was extended multiple times to total 5 years based on achieving Esso’s Key Performance Indicators. - Reduced customer cost by approximately 30 percent per project by implementing Continuous Improvement Initiatives. - Zero non-conformances reported by third party auditor (SGS) during ISO 9001 certification audit of project.

Leader of the engineering team supporting Esso Australia’s offshore maintenance group, designing replacement piping and structure. A key responsibility was work prioritisation and scheduling to meet client delivery timelines as well as cost / progress reporting. - Developed $300k into $4+ million per annum sales for PSN. - Implemented low-cost maintenance engineering model tailored to client’s specific requirements while complying with regulatory requirements and industry standards.

Lead process engineer in the As Building team on projects for Esso Australia (Longford Gas Plant, Long Island Point Plant and offshore facilities) responsible for checking accuracy of site red-line mark ups and drafted documents against project scope and site information.

Primary interface between offshore platform operations personnel and corporate technical resources. I was responsible for technical monitoring of platform performance and troubleshooting as well as development of the scopes to be executed by the Retrofit Projects team. Achievements:- 60% Reduction of backlog of incomplete projects. - Reducing critical document (P&ID, Cause & Effect, Layout drawing, etc) update times from many months to two weeks by implementing a streamlined process for updating documentation on completion of small projects. - Mentored graduates assigned to Offshore Surveillance group.

Lead process engineer on various onshore projects for Esso Australia (Longford Gas Plant and Long Island Point Plant) and BHP Billiton (Minerva Gas Plant).

Being a small engineering design consultancy and process equipment supplier, my role was broad and included process design for oil and gas processing equipment, development of “in-house” process design software, tender preparation and negotiation and project management.
