Michael has over thirty years of experience in the Electric Power and Oil & Gas Pipeline Industries.During the early portion of his career at TransAlta Utilities, Michael held a number of leadership and management positions in distribution and transmission construction, engineering and project management, as well as hydro generation, safety management and technical training.In 1997, Michael joined TransCanada Corporation where he held leadership roles and gained valuable experience in gas transmission construction and pipeline operations.Michael has held various industry board and association memberships, such as the Construction Owners Association of Alberta and the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association.Michael holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Alberta.From 2004 to 2017, Michael has been President of Grid Energy Services which provided services to the power generation, transmission and pipeline industries in the areas of regulatory applications, permitting, engineering, procurement and construction of capital projects.
