As Team Leader, I offered support to about 1600 workstations for the Dutch Railways. I did this together with a team of approximately six to eight colleagues. This was a NT4/2000 network with Windows 98/Office2000 desktop computers in a LAN/WAN environment. In this function I did, beside the support, also the tape handling, creating and testing of new images, testing of new hardware and the compatibility with the existing hard- and software. This includes the writing of installation procedures, operating procedures and user manuals. On this account, Solvay Pharmaceuticals with about 350 workstations, I was working as the only EDS employee. This was a NT4/2000 server network with Windows2000 and WindowsXP clients with network services in several countries. A number of clients are under supervision of The Health Care Department because of the injectables they are controlling during the process. I was responsible for the second line support, installation and testing of new hard- and software, software updates, took care of the backup and restore, did physical checks on the hardware and created a hardware call if necessary.
