I’m an experienced international trade and investment attorney focused on the intersection of government policy and international dispute settlement. I enjoy working across many industries, including technology, e-commerce, energy, solar, automotive, financial services, medical devices, building materials, industrial products, steel, aluminum, telecommunications, mining, and agriculture. I leverage my background and experience in international law, U.S. law, international affairs, and economics to develop innovative solutions to complex problems. My deep experience includes investor-state arbitration before international tribunals; U.S. trade disputes before the U.S. International Trade Commission, U.S. Department of Commerce, and U.S. Court of International Trade; U.S. court litigation; World Trade Organization (WTO) law, policy, and dispute settlement; appearing before the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative (USTR); commercial arbitration; Committee on Foreign Investment in the US (CFIUS); sanctions; export controls; and customs. I love teaching my course at the American University Washington College of Law on current issues in international trade investment law and policy with a focus on trade agreements.
