I have a wealth of experience within the Intelligent Transport Systems area, including major road and tunnel projects. Setting up Traffic Management for work sites around Victoria for high voltage power pole maintenance and installations, and other civil works requested by clients. Safety and efficiency is integral to each work site setup, and is performed in accordance with Department of Transport and Planning requirements for roadworks, and AusNet regulations for sites related to power installations.I have a significant understanding of the principles and practicalities of Traffic Management requirements for various power distribution, and civil construction clients. This also involves the management of heavy vehicle movement throughout the work sites including excavators, truck mounted Elevated Work Platforms, directional drilling and under-boring machines, and cable recovery vehicles.In my spare time I am developing new design concepts for Intelligent Transport Systems and control systems using AutoCAD and SolidWorks for use in large infrastructure projects.

Review of various Intelligent Transport System Design Packages for the M6 Motorway Stage 1. This involved detailed technical assessment of major systems, in line with the Project Scope and Requirements Deed.Design of all Intelligent Transport Systems for surface works throughout Northern, Central and Southern sections of the North East Link Program. This involves the placement of all assets in co-ordination with civil consultants. This was completed to Detailed Design phase of the project.Design of all roadside equipment cabinets including full schematic diagrams and general arrangement drawings for the control and monitoring of Lane Use Systems, Vehicle Detection Systems, CCTV systems, Freeway Ramps Signals, Emergency Closure Barriers, Over-height Vehicle Detection and other ITS devices. Preparation of Design Reports for each Design Package through Preliminary Design to Detailed Design. This equipment covers both North East Link roadside cabinets, and Department of Transport roadside cabinets.Design of equipment cabinets within tunnel cross-passages as well as for tolling system on the surface.

I was initially employed at UGL as a Design and Project Manager for the CityLink-Tullamarine Widening Project, before transitioning to the role of Senior Engineer - Control Systems. The following is a brief summary of the projects I was involved with:Sydney Metro City & Southwest (Transport for NSW)I was the Lead Controls Engineer during the tender phase for this major rail project and was key in the bid being successful. I also developed design strategies for use throughout the Power Control System, and the Tunnel Ventilation Control System to streamline processes and procedures.CityLink-Tullamarine Widening Project (CTW) - Transurban (CityLink)I was the Design and Project Manager responsible for the procurement, build, testing and commissioning of all 175 Equipment Cabinets throughout the CityLink-Tullamarine Widening Project, including all camera systems, traffic counting systems and signs (Variable Message, and Lane Use Management Signs).These various systems were integrated into more than 70 overhead gantries throughout the Tollway. I also liaised closely with civil, electrical and mechanical companies throughout the project, in order to ensure the highest quality for the client within project time frame and budget.
