Assists in the effective management of Independence Center’s psychosocial rehabilitation program (PSR) and responsible for the coordination of services with other programs and agencies.• Regularly reviews systems to provide outcome, productivity and performance improvement reports to PSR Manager to assure enhancement of organizational operations and alignment across programs.• Oversees the operations and effectiveness of PSR program and assures that functions are consistently and effectively implemented to achieve best possible outcomes for participants. • Assures compliance with all accrediting bodies: Clubhouse International, Commission on the Accredidation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), Department of Mental Health (DMH) and Vocational Rehabilitation (DVR)• Manages PSR, employment and community support staff including, hiring, training and performance evaluation while providing clinical oversight.• Creates and delivers professional development plans and coaching documents as needed to level set and ensure expectations are clear and achievable. • Ensures an inclusive culture that creates opportunities for maximum member and staff participation in Clubhouse operations. Provides leadership in internal and external programs by creating agendas, facilitating meetings, coaching and communicating updates of programatic decisions.• Develops and adheres to staffing, revenue and expense budgets for the Clubhouse unit assigned.

My role as a Team Leader consists of evaluation, coaching and the mentoring of new staff. I provide consistent performance improvement of staffing and unit structure. I model and help develop best practices within the Clubhouse world. I'm responsible for ensuring the highest quality of care for psychosocial rehabilitation, community support, employment and educational services. Part of my role is the assessment of the quality of services and staff performance which I do by maintaining communication with consumers, customers and external steak holders. I also develop and maintain marketing and public relations plans to increase visibility of Independence Center and its Clubhouse Shop. I provide leadership, facilitate communication, enhance teamwork and ultimately envision a better way to do things.

As a Unit Staff Lead I was responsible for assisting with supervision and performance evaluation of PSR staff. Primarily I would model best practices, provide coaching and seek out ways to improve programs and services. Other responsibilities include ensuring communication between management and front line staffers and ensuring that program information was disseminated within appropriate forums. I continuously assessed the quality of services and staff performance in consultation with internal and external stakeholders and utilized feedback to evoke change. I also performed employment consultation and job development with community business partners.

As a program staff I was responsible for organizing the daily work of the program and utilizing that work to build relationships with consumers. I was relied on to identify consumers strengths, needs, abilities and preferences and create a sense of urgency for the work that needed to get done. I creatively utilized support, encouragement, humor, redirection and conflict resolution in order to involve all consumers in every aspect of the unit's daily work.

While I was a CSS I provided services for a caseload of up to 20 consumers, completed person centered multimodal psychosocial assessments and treatment plans and proactively partnered with consumers to achieve positive outcomes in areas such as; employment, education, housing, social, legal, chemical dependency, physical health, mental health. While I did assist members with identifying and accessing necessary benefits and entitlements, I spent much of my time anticipating crisis situations, accessing needed services and coordinating hospital admissions and discharges.
