o be responsible to the MIH Coordinator for the delivery and implementation of the Youth Engagement Programme (YEP) for Rising Tide Trust.To directly work alongside the MIH Coordinator to ensure the aims and objectives, quarterly and monthly programme targets are being achieved.To support the co-ordinator of the project to ensure that 5 youth committee’s are set up and running effectively, meetings and socials are conducted on a monthly basis, youth committee’s are supported to access TRA meetings, consultation sessions, and neighbourhood youth forum meetings.To ensure that youth committee’s are accessing funding opportunities, in order to access training or help provide activities in their estates.Form trusting positive relationships with individuals or groups of young people.* Work collaboratively with Community groups, colleges, Connexions, police, training providers and working gangs in the community.* Form partnerships with agencies that are able to offer practical support to young people displaying the following characteristics; emotional and behavioural difficulties, special education needs, poor previous academic achievement, negative experiences of school or similar environments, substance misuse, alcohol or drug dependent, offending patterns and criminal records, low confidence and self esteem ,low levels of literacy and numeracy, low motivation and lack of realistic aspirations, teenage parent, chaotic lifestyle patterns, estranged from parents or carers or from dysfunctional family, in care of local authorities or homeless.* Keep accurate records, produce progress reports and attend multi-agency meetings as required.* Escort young people to a variety of activities and broker taster sessions with providers.* Act as a positive role model to disaffected young people.* To advocate on behalf of young people where necessary with various agencies and community groups.
