About Michael Keathley

I am an active duty Army Lieutenant Colonel with 18 years time in service having served in tactical and operational roles in garrison and combat as both a combat arms practitioner and acquisitions officer. I've spent a total of 40 months across four tours deployed between Iraq, Afghanistan and Kuwait in organizations from Troop/Company level up to the 3-star headquarters level.I began my Army career as a maneuver officer serving in organizations with heavy warfighting equipment (Bradley Fighting Vehicle, Abrams tank) and in the process learned the importance of organization, teamwork and accountability. In my 10th year of service I transitioned over to the Army Acquisitions side of the Army and acquired substantial experience as a contract specialist and contracting officer in both garrison and deployed locations.Currently I am the Product Manager of Prototype Development within PM-XM30, Program Executive Office, Ground Combat Systems. My team is responsible for the management of two detailed design/prototype build contracts and their associated vendors.I pride myself in being an exceptional communicator, both in spoken and written form. I enjoy compiling data and turning it into information in order to assist in contributing to the knowledge of the organization. My ability to ask pointed questions, along with establishing expectations of performance from teammates make me most useful in a work environment.Lastly, I have a very deep love of the pursuit of fitness and human performance. Much of my free time is spent pursuing some type of fitness related activity, be it in a gym setting or outside. Due to this hobby, I was fortunate enough to meet my wife, Connie, in a gym and we have been married since April 2013. She is a Registered Nurse and has the same love of fitness as I. We have no children but instead, have a dog, Mac, who we love dearly.
